Nary Manivong

NARY MANIVONG is a New York–based luxury brand founded by Ohio-born Lao-American designer Nary Manivong. Rooted in his cultural heritage, the brand draws from Laotian traditions and artisanal craftsmanship, reinterpreted through a contemporary Western lens.

With a commitment to quality, sustainability, and aesthetic integrity, NARY MANIVONG creates collections that honor culture through refined textiles, thoughtful details, and time-honored techniques. Each piece is designed and crafted in New York City using responsibly sourced materials, including handwoven textiles from artisan communities in Laos and other premium suppliers, including the use of deadstock fabrics.

Beyond fashion, Nary Manivong has expanded his creative practice into interiors through NM BAHN—“bahn,” meaning home in the Lao language. Guided by the same values of craftsmanship, storytelling, and cultural connection, the studio's work spans interiors, furniture, objects, and bespoke environments. Its debut project, the Permanent Mission of the Lao People's Democratic Republic to the United Nations in New York City, reflects a dialogue between heritage and contemporary living.

At its core, NARY MANIVONG is rooted in slow design, where heritage, craftsmanship, and conscious creation come together to inspire a more thoughtful way of living. Through a seasonless wardrobe designed to be collected over time, worn intuitively, and cherished beyond a single season, the brand embraces artistry, authenticity, and enduring quality.
